Graham
Davis Press Release :: February 1, 2002

Bleu Provence Restaurant will host a special one-day exhibition of paintings by Graham Davis on Sunday March 3, 2002, partly in aid of the St Matthew's House Charity.

A champagne reception will be held during the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 pm at the celebrated Naples restaurant.

Graham Davis, considered a stylistically representational painter, was born in Kent and educated at Maidstone and Chelsea Schools of Art. During the thirty years since he settled in Jamaica, he has exhibited widely in the Caribbean, North America and Europe. His most recent success was at the highly acclaimed Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London.

Davis has been experimenting recently with the culture of the ancient, and nature. Works depicting gardens in Spain, old fishing boats and ruins in Jamaica are examples of this new approach. He lives, gardens and paints in his own ancient structure - a haunted eighteenth century plantation house. Recently, this delightfully warm home was featured in an HGTV programme "The best of Jamaican design".

Appointments may be arranged for private viewing between Saturday March 2 and Tuesday March 5. For more information, please telephone 941.434.2778
