| Press Release :: September 2003 Two Distinguished Artists Together ![]() Renowned painter Graham Davis and well known Far East actress Sandy Phillips present their first ever show together - Two Artists; An Exhibition of Performance and Art - at CA'N Chazann, S'Arraco, on Sunday September 21, 2003. A special cocktail reception will be held during the exhibition and performance, commencing at 6:00 pm. Graham Davis was born in Kent and educated at Maidstone and Chelsea Schools of Art before moving to Jamaica in 1970. Since then, he has exhibited widely in the Caribbean, North America and Europe, most recently at the highly acclaimed Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London. Davis now divides his time between Jamaica and Mallorca. Sandy Phillips studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before moving to the Far East in the 1960s, where she quickly gained a reputation performing, lecturing and directing in theatre throughout the region. Her considerable reputation was enhanced recently, when she was chosen to play the lead role in "Wit", the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson. Phillips now lives permanently in Mallorca. These visual and performing artists have pooled their talents to offer a rare evening's entertainment: View the paintings of a world-famous artist, sample cocktails with a distinctly Caribbean flavour and then enjoy "The Wish of The Clover", a humorous, nostalgic, essentially human one-woman show written especially for Sandy by award winning playwright Michael Corbidge.
